"The Manhattan" Side Table

Manhattan, NYC

Where sculpture meets surface, and light dances through layers of design.

Hand-carved from solid walnut, this side table pairs architectural precision with organic form. The base flows upward in a single sweeping gesture—faceted and fluid—offering a grounded elegance to the striking top it supports. The tabletop is composed of two expertly cast epoxy layers: a smoky black foundation that creates depth and drama, and a clear top layer that reveals and elevates the raw live edge of eucalyptus burl, suspended like islands in still water.

The clarity of the top coat captures every detail of the wood’s wild grain—rippling, radiant, and almost geologic in its texture. Each quadrant of burl is inset with intention, inviting curiosity and light from every angle.

Equally suited to a modern Manhattan penthouse or a quiet reading corner, The Manhattan Table is a functional sculpture—meant to be seen, touched, and lived with. At once bold and contemplative, it speaks to contrast: light and shadow, control and chaos, movement and pause.
